Philosophy of the Program
6-12 month program created to aid in the transition from pandemic life to the new version of normal.
Alternative to board and train options that take your pup away from home.
Consistent weekly times for visits creates a reliable schedule. Dogs like consistency!
One-on-one time to look forward to!
Gets your pup used to the idea of enjoying time spent with humans outside of the immediate family or pod.
6-12 month duration allows for individual pacing and practice of skills in order to gain mastery.
SPECIAL OPTION: Human\Pet training sessions, which usually start at $90+ an hour, are offered at the training walk rate of $70 and can be incorporated into the specific plan made for your pup, to provide a family-integrated training experience.
What Skills will my dog learn?
Skills Covered are Based on Individual Dog and Family, but can include:
Preparing for and returning from walk expectations and routines
No pulling
Checking in with walker frequently and developing a healthy dependence on their humans’ leadership
On leash recall (coming when name is called)
Commands such as: sit, wait, leave it, drop it, close, over, free, close (heel)
Decrease reactivity to triggers (other dogs, children, motorcycles, bicycles)
Safe greeting of other dogs
Automatic sit at curbs and to be freed
What does the Program Actually Look Like?
Initial 1- hour meet and greet
Schedule an initial 1 hour analysis walk
create a plan for 1 hour training walks 2-5 times per week
6 months- 1 year, based on individual needs and desires
Family training can be done in conjunction with the program, by incorporating human/pet training sessions into the training walk program. There is also the option to continue walks past the 6 months-1 year of the program, reduce the number of walks per week, or they can be taken over by the family. Human/Training sessions are offered at the discounted $70/hr during or after the program to aid in providing the option that makes most sense for your family.
